                   Bobby Hutton

   He was the first person to join Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton's Black Panther Party.  A dedicated community servant his memory will live forever in the mind of those who truly understand what it is to stand up and sacrifice everything you have in life.  Lil Bobby, as the Party recognized him, joined at the age of 15.  Two years later, he'd die at the age of only 17.  He was ruthlessly shot at least 10 times as he was chased into the street running from his burning home.  Oakland Police Department was waiting for him, concluding a 90 minute gun battle on April 6, 1968.
