Caine 1

Edward Glowaski bka Caine One/Caine 1, was a graffiti writer in the 70's. He was known for writing with one arm, the other arm being lost as a young child. He lived in Woodside Queens, with his mother and sister, but would forever be up in the Bronx with close friend TRACY 168.

Though he chose to add a letter, Caine 1's name came from the classic movie "Citizen Cane."  His signature style of writing was what he termed his "Computer Style," it was an early form of what's now known as a "Wildstyle."

In 1976, as the country was celebrating it's bicentennial, Caine 1 organized a group to paint a full 10-car train. This train would later be known as the "Freedom Train."  One of the first times in history such a project had been attempted, it did not reach the public intact.  It seems as the train left the Corona yards, transit workers seperated the cars, noticing the mural covered all 10.  Some were to different stations, most of the cars were sent into service.  Others believed to be involved in the painting of Caine One's Freedom Train were: ROGER, CHINO 174, DIME 139, DOC ONE, TAGE ONE, FLAME ONE, MAD 102 and SPIKE, SPEEDY.
