                Genesis Regalado

  By all accounts a happy child.  A respectful young lady.  One who had her whole life ahead of her.  Genesis was an innocent, called home because she was cooling off at the wrong fire hydrant.

Details are sketchy at press time, but it seems the 11 year old girl was shot at 11:19 this past Monday night.  It only took one bullet to remove the life from her body.  Despite the best attempts of medical professionals, she was pronounced dead at 11:45.

In the end a neighborhood lost a promising youth (who earlier that same day was innocently washing cars at the hydrant in hopes of raising the money necessary for her mother to move out of the neighborhood) and a distraught Mother lost a friend.
