Hitman of  R.B.L. Posse

   Hitman, born Ricky Herd, of RBL Posse was gunned down February 2nd, 2003 at age 24. The second member of RBL (Mr. Cee's violent death New Year's Eve '96 being the first) to be murdered, Hitman was an important member of the Hunter's Point community in the Bay Area, as an MC. At the age of only 24 when he died, Herd prvided a beakon of hope to area youngsters living in a violent negative life, around the community.

Being one of the youngest MCs out when he burst on the set, as part of RBL Posse, Hitman would go on to release his own album, Solo Creep" in 1995 as well his second solo album, H2O vol. 1" in 1999. RBL Posse, itself sold nearly 500,000 copies of "Lesson to be Learned" and "Ruthless by Law" albums, through independant Bay Area Hip Hop distributor In-A-Minute-Records. After Hitman's debut solo release in '95, the group was signed to Atlantic Records. Before thier album for Atlantic could be released, Mr. Cee was shot 9 times. Hitman's last appearance as part of RBL Posse was on the 2001 album, "Hostile Takeover".
